Projet bicéphale aux contours Techno, La Moral produit un live machine agile et tranchant. Aux commandes de leur système modulaire, le duo explore un univers oscillant entre distorsions chaotiques et rigueur rythmique taillée pour le dancefloor. Le spectre des sonorités est aussi large que les différents styles qui nourrissent leurs performances.
Improvisant entre Techno, IDM, Hardcore, Doom & Trap, ils partagent leur fascination pour le son qui submerge l’esprit.
Les deux membres de La Moral produisent de la musique électronique depuis une quinzaine d’années. Leurs premières influences furent le Dubstep, le Hip-Hop, la Drum’n’Bass, le Breakcore et toutes les formes de Bass Music. Leur intérêt pour les synthétiseurs modulaires grandit avec l’envie de se détacher des ordinateurs et de renouer avec une approche plus organique et sensible de la performance scénique. En constante évolution, leur synthétiseur modulaire devient un membre à part entière du projet capable de générer des boucles technoïdes toujours plus riches et intenses.
La moral a sorti son premier EP 2 titres autoproduit « Mursis/Zmei » en mai 2019, EP qui sera bientôt pressé sur un vinyle 7 pouces à 250 exemplaires.
Le projet a déjà été joué à Bruxelles, Liège, Strasbourg, Istanbul, Sofia, Thessalonique et Dolen.
« La Moral » is a project focused on modular synthetizers in eurorack format. Their modular system is designed to procure a wide colour of sounds from clean processed synthesis to distorded mayhem and can sequence either generative abstract patterns and melodies or rythmical techno grooves. Their focus in performance is to keep the live aspect the most improvised as possible and balance in between techno, doom, trap, bass music… Always keeping in mind that the goal is not to produce bangers and keep the hands up, but sharing and spreading thefascination of what electronic music feels like when circuits and components are singing by themselves.
The two members of the project are working on electronic music since 2008 or so. Their beginnings where first focused on the production aspect through dubstep, drum and bass, hiphop, breakcore and deviant styles using exclusively computers and playing dj sets and computer live with ableton. Their start with modular came simultaneously through a deeper interest in techno music, analog synthesis and electronic theory; and their motivation grew with the goal of playing the music live with machines that become real instruments instead of composing tracks at home on computer.
La moral released its first auto produced ep called “Mursis/Zmei” in may 2019, that ep is gonna be pressed on a 7 inch vinyl soon.
The project has performed live shows in Brussels, Liège,Strasbourg, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Sofia and Dolen.
